How to take care of sensitive skin?

Sensitive skincare refers to products and routines designed for individuals with sensitive skin. Sensitive skin can react easily to certain ingredients, environmental factors, or harsh products, resulting in redness, irritation, dryness, or breakouts.
The goal of sensitive skincare is to soothe and calm the skin, minimize irritation, and provide gentle yet effective care. This typically involooves using products with minimal fragrance, harsh chemicals, or potential allergens.
Key components of sensitive skincare include:
1. Gentle cleansers: Look for mild, soap-free cleansers that do not strip the skin of its natural oils. Avoid products with harsh ingredients like sulfates or alcohol.
2. Moisturizers: Choose moisturizers that are lightweight, non-comedogenic, and free of potential irritants. Look for products with ingredients like hyaluronic acid, ceramides, or aloe vera to soothe and hydrate the skin.
3. Sunscreen: Protect sensitive skin from harmful UV rays by using a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 50 & PA++++
4. Patch testing: Before using a new skincare product, it is important to patch test it on a small area of skin to check for any adverse reactions. Apply a small amount of the product to the inner forearm and monitor for 24-48 hours.
5. Avoid potential irritants: Sensitive skin individuals may need to avoid certain ingredients, such as fragrance, alcohol, dyes, or certain oils, which can trigger irritation or allergic reactions. Reading ingredient labels and avoiding known irritants is crucial.
6. Calming ingredients: Look for products that contain soothing ingredients such as chamomile, aloe vera, Cica, oatmeal, or niacinamide, known for their anti-inflammatory properties and ability to calm and soothe sensitive skin.
